Couple Therapy

Couple therapy (also known as couples counselling, relationship counselling and marriage
counselling) has many similarities to personal counselling with the very obvious difference of
the couple attending together for the sessions.
Couple therapy counselling is an opportunity for a couple to talk about issues which are
affecting their relationship. The issues may be for both or one partner but when it is
impacting on the connection for the couple it is where relationship counselling can be
beneficial.

As with personal counselling the issues which can result a couple seeking counselling support include:

  • Mental health
  • Sexuality
  • Communication
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Parenting difficulties
  • Physical health
  • The impact of addiction
  • Infidelity

This is not a complete list and it is important that if you or your partner feel there is a need to
meet with a Counsellor, to make contact and discuss your particular issues. I am happy to
have this conversation during the initial phone call to clarify the issues and if there is
anything I believe can be supported more effectively in another service I will discuss this with
you.

It is also important to highlight that I have experience of working with many types of couples: opposite sex, same sex, married and separating couples.

The fee for a couples counselling session is €80.00
